Need “MO Recommendation” For Motor Vehicles
If your suspension time is up and Motor Vehicles refers you to the IDRC, it means you are considered a “Multiple Offender (MO)" with three or more DUI/Refusals in your lifetime. You might have completed all IDRC requirements years ago and still need an MO Recommendation.
All MOs must attend a treatment program for an assessment if they have not been in treatment within the last year. If the assessment indicates treatment is needed, treatment must be completed before Motor Vehicles is notified. Motor Vehicles will not issue a license without this MO Recommendation.
In order to schedule the assessment, please choose an agency as it pertains to your location and follow the directions on the link.
Once you have chosen an agency, please click on the below forms, including Change of Address form, if needed. Fill out each form making sure your name is on each form, the agency you chose is on each form, and your signature/acknowledgement is on each form. Complete the Change of Address Form, if needed. The Non-Affiliated Counselor letter must be signed by you and your counselor. 'Submit' the fully executed paperwork to the IDRC prior to your assessment so we can send the agency your file which must be reviewed by the agency to complete the assessment. Once you have returned the paperwork, call the agency to schedule the appointment.
