Youth Program Ages 16-24
The Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development Youth Program provides services to both in school and out of school youth, ages 16-24, who face barriers to employment. Youth gain access to our services by participating in our “Kick Start” work readiness training, consisting of 6 consecutive days of hands on instruction from our youth staff, providing them with the necessary tools to prepare them for employment.
Upon completion of “Kick Start” youth are transitioned into a range of services to fit the needs of each individual. The program framework is built around paid work experience, high school equivalency, post-secondary education as well as career path guidance.
