Please be advised that the schedule for the operation of the Oceanic Bridge is as follows:
- April 1st to November 30th – Bridge opens on signal.
- December 1st to March 31th – 24 hour notice is required.
- Boaters and Mariners can call (732)-289-0510 for bridge openings from December 1st to March 31st.

Home | Navigation CenterMonmouth County is underway with the Local Preliminary Engineering (LPE) phase for the replacement of the Oceanic Bridge (S-31), with funding from the federal Local Capital Project Delivery Program.
The County has engaged the services of a team of consulting firms, led by Michael Baker International, Inc., to handle this phase. This group - called the MBI Team - also includes AECOM, NV5 Global, Inc., Malick & Scherer, P.C., Modjeski & Masters, Richard Grubb & Associates, Inc., M.A. Culbertson, LLC, and NorthStar Strategies.
The MBI Team’s work is anticipated to continue through Spring 2027. The next phases - Final Design and Construction - will follow, and the timelines for those will be shared once they are finalized.
