I get a vaccine in Monmouth County?
Monmouth
County operates a vaccine clinic here at the Monmouth County Health Department
in Freehold. Pop up clinics are also available throughout the county during the

Am I eligible to receive a vaccine?
Everyone 6 months or older is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in New Jersey and encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
What is the COVID-19 bivalent vaccine?
The bivalent vaccine is an updated version of the COVID-19 vaccine that includes components of the original virus strain and the Omicron variant. Using those components provides broader protection against COVID-19 and the Omicron variant that is currently spreading in our State. Am I eligible to receive a booster dose?
The FDA authorized bivalent formulations of the Moderna (age 18 and older) and Pfizer-BioNTech (age 12 and older) COVID-19 vaccines for use as a single booster dose at least two months after completing primary or booster vaccination.
How can I make an appointment for a vaccine?
The Monmouth County Health Department
Vaccination site is a walk-up facility where no appointment is necessary during
scheduled COVID-19 clinic hours. The vaccination site is open for walk-ins on
Tuesdays from 4-6PM. Testing is also available.
What are the County Commissioners doing to help Monmouth County residents get vaccines?
All
seniors and individuals with a disability who have appointments for vaccines
can elect to be driven by the Monmouth County Division of Transportation to the
vaccination site by calling them at 732-431-6480, option 1. This service is
available during normal operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday.
What are the costs associated with getting the vaccine?
There is no cost
to get vaccinated at the sites operated by Monmouth County. Regardless of location, no one should be charged for the vaccine itself. Some independent providers are requesting insurance
information to cover cost associated with administering the vaccine, so check
with them directly if you have additional questions.

vaccine is approved for use in the United States, it must meet or exceed FDA
thresholds to be considered effective. This is true for the COVID-19 vaccines
already approved, and it is true for vaccines that are awaiting FDA review and
approval.
