Homeowner's Guide to Gypsy Moths

As a homeowner, you want to protect your landscape from the devastating effects of gypsy moths. There are several things that you as a homeowner can do to mitigate gyspy moth damage in your own backyard. Here are some important tips to remember:

  • Check firewood and other woods supplies for egg masses.
  • Examine equipment (lawn care, boats, etc.) that may be seasonally used and can be moved to other locations.
  • Contact your local township/municipal shade tree department to report gyspy moths on trees in your yard.
