2010 Gypsy Moth Aerial Spray Program

We are pleased to announce that the Gypsy Moth Egg Mass Survey has been completed for all the communities that had prior problems and additional communities that had legitimate concerns for a detailed investigation. Total acreage counts and maps describing areas of treatment will be available at the beginning of 2010. All of this information will be made available at your local town hall or local shade tree organization.

The Monmouth County Shade Tree Commission is located at 4000 Kozloski Road, Freehold, NJ, (732) 431-7903. Brian Gosnell, County Pilot, (DEP license # 24807B) will be applying Bacillus thuringiensis FORAY 76B, EPA Reg. #73049-49) using the County Helicopter to areas infested with gypsy moth larvae.

Upon request, the pesticide applicator or applicator business shall provide a resident with notification 12 hours prior to the application, except for Quarantine and Disease Vector Control only, when conditions necessitate pesticide applications sooner than that time.
