County Commissioners proclaim May 3-9 as Correctional
Officers Week
FREEHOLD, NJ – The
Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners recognized May 3-9 as National
Correctional Officers Week during a workshop meeting on May 28th to thank
Monmouth County’s Correctional Officers for their dedication and service.
“During National
Correctional Officers Week, my fellow Commissioners and I express our sincere
appreciation to the men and women who serve in our correctional facilities with
dedication, professionalism, and integrity,” said Commissioner Director Thomas
A. Arnone. “Their commitment plays an essential role in maintaining safety and
order within these facilities and we thank them for their continued service and
dedication towards public safety.”
The proclamation was
presented to Monmouth County Sheriff’s Corrections Officers by Commissioner
Susan M. Kiley, liaison to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, on behalf of
the Board.
“As we
recognize National Correctional Officers Week, we honor the dedicated Monmouth
County Sheriff’s Office Correction Officers who serve with integrity every
day,” said Commissioner Kiley. “Their efforts within the Monmouth County
Correctional Institution are essential to both our justice system and our
community. We are grateful for their hand work and steadfast commitment to
public safety.”
