Monmouth County has 647 positive cases of COVID-19

FREEHOLD, NJ –Monmouth County Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone and Freeholder Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley have announced that, as of March 27, there are 647 positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County.

The Freeholders also noted that tomorrow, Saturday, March 28, and every Saturday to follow, the State-run testing site at PNC Bank Arts Center will be dedicated to testing symptomatic health care workers and first responders with valid credentials only.

In addition, the site will open to the general public on Mondays and Wednesdays and perform 500 tests per day instead of the 250 tests they had been doing daily.

The Freeholders also remind residents that Monmouth County’s healthcare workers and first responders and their desperate need of personal protective equipment which has become increasingly scarce due to the ongoing battle against COVID-19.

Donations of these items are being accepted at Thompson Park, 805 Newman Springs Road, in Lincroft, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday.
