4-H and Tractor Supply kick off
fall paper clover campaign to raise money

FREEHOLD, NJ – Tractor Supply Company (TSC) will hold its annual 4-H Paper Clover Campaign in Monmouth County stores to raise money and make it possible for more youth to experience 4-H programming. Customers can purchase paper clovers $1 or more at checkout from October 3-14.

“Funds raised from the Tractor Supply 4-H Paper Clover Campaign will be used to provide scholarships for Monmouth County 4-H members to attend national 4-H leadership conferences or camp programs” says Matthew Newman, Monmouth County 4-H Agent. The number of scholarships available following the event will be determined based on the total amount raised.

Since it began in 2010, the partnership between TSC and 4-H has generated more than $13 million in essential funding. Nearly $950,000 was raised in the more than 1,700 stores across the nation (49 states) during the spring fundraiser. The funds provide support for youth to participate in 4-H opportunities and experiences at the county, state and national level.

“We truly appreciate and commend the support that Tractor Supply Company gives our 4-H program each year,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Lillian G. Burry. “Their generosity gives youth in Monmouth County opportunities within our 4-H program that they might not have had otherwise.”

The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, a unit of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. 4-H educational programs are offered to all youth, grades K-13 (one year out of high school), on an age-appropriate basis.
