The Monmouth County Sheriff's Office is your partner in fighting crime and maintaining an outstanding quality of life. Since January of 1996, the cornerstone of this administration has been an agency-wide commitment to excellence. The men and women who serve here are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and excellence. As testament to our commitment, on July 28, 2001, the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office earned the "Grand Slam" achievement for simultaneous accreditation of the law enforcement division, the correctional facility, correctional healthcare, and 9-1-1 communications. We are the first of 3,088 sheriff's offices across the nation to achieve this distinction. Senior citizens are an invaluable resource to our great county. With a lifetime of experience in business and civic involvement, the approximately 115,000 residents over the age of 50 sustain our neighborhoods with their time and their talents.
