Overview of the Annotated Bibliography
The annotated bibliography is a comprehensive listing of existing publications, reports, documents, and data sources related to the Manasquan River and the Manasquan River Watershed assembled by the MWMG and the author as of January 1999. Reference citations contained in this bibliography are listed under appropriate chapter headings as they appear in the Manasquan River Watershed Initial Characterization and Assessment Report. In order to assist the reader, a brief descriptive abstract of the subject matter covered by each reference is included with each citation.
A large number of additional reference materials were compiled during preparation of the Initial Characterization and Assessment Report between January and March 1999. A complete listing of reference citations for each chapter of the Initial Characterization and Assessment Report is included in Section II of this bibliography.

As is the case with any project of this type and magnitude, some materials may have inadvertently been overlooked or not located. However, the collection of references assembled to prepare the Manasquan River Watershed Initial Characterization and Assessment Report represents the majority of information pertinent to the Manasquan River and the Manasquan River Watershed.
