NEW JERSEY EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT (NJEITC)
2009 NJEITC Amount
The NJEITC is a percentage of your Federal earned income credit. For tax year 2009 your NJEITC amount will be equal to 25% of your Federal earned income credit.
Part-year residents who qualify for the NJEITC must prorate the amount of the credit based on the number of months as a New Jersey resident.

FEDERAL EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT (EITC)
The Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) can help you if you worked full or part-time in 2009 and:
You raised a child in your home and your family earned less than $35,463, you can receive up to $3,043.
You raised two in your home and your family earned less than $40,295, you can receive up to $5,028.
You are between the ages of 25-65, not raising children, and earned less than $13,440, you can receive up to $457.
