County and Howell partner on Health Fair
Free event is Saturday at Southard School - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Health Department is sponsoring the Howell Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, at Southard School on Kent Rd. in Howell. The County is partnering with the township and the vendor community to provide free health screenings, including lead testing, blood pressure and eye screening.

“Important health screenings are available at no cost to the public that can identify potential health problems,” said Freeholder John P. Curley, liaison to the Health Department. “The response from the healthcare community is outstanding and the public is encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to speak with professionals and receive valuable information. Lead screening is very beneficial as this topic is at the forefront of public discussion. This is a great opportunity for all age groups to learn how to live healthier lives.”

Cholesterol, bone density and hearing will also be tested.

Representatives from the following organizations will be in attendance: Barnabas Health, NJ Commission for the Blind, Sound Hearing Solutions, Meridian Health, Retro Fitness, Walgreens, Brandywine Senior Living at Howell, Home Depot, Red Cross, Amerigroup, SNAP, Community Affairs and Resource Center, Monmouth County Mosquito Control, My Instadoc Urgent Care, Howell Township Senior Center and Freehold Orthodontics.
