Work on Asbury Avenue may cause delays
New Jersey American Water work to replace water main in Neptune
NEPTUNE, NJ – New Jersey American Water has begun work to replace a 12-inch water main on Asbury Avenue (County Route 16) between Overbrook Avenue and Drummond Avenue.
The work is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete.
Motorists on Asbury Avenue should expect alternating lanes of traffic between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
“Due to the high volume of traffic on Asbury Avenue, the County will only permit partial closures during this project,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone. “We appreciate the patience of the traveling public while the work is performed to maintain the water service.”
