County election officials invited
to speak
to Asbury Park voters

Will explain voting rules and regulations

 

ASBURY PARK, NJ – Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French has been invited by the National Action Network Asbury Park chapter to speak to voters about the rules and regulations of elections in terms of voting and how it pertains to the voter.

 

Members of the public are invited to meet with French and Board of Election representatives on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. at the VFW Post 1333 at 701 Lake Avenue in Asbury Park.

 

“It is important to get out into the community and explain the election voting process,” said French. “I look forward to meeting with potential voters and answering any questions they may have.”

 

French will be joined by Board of Election Commissioners Mary DeSarno and Christine Hanlon.

 

An official voting machine will be at the VFW to demonstrate how to vote on the machine and Vote By Mail applications will be distributed and explained.

 

The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Oct. 14. In order to register to vote, you must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen by the General Election on Nov. 4.
