Lincroft roundabout repairs next week

Work to begin July 15

LINCROFT, NJ – On Tuesday, July 15, work will begin to improve the roundabout at the Newman Springs Road (Route 520) entrance to Brookdale Community College and the Lincroft Bible Church.

“This project will be done in two parts,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “The first part will replace the roundabout’s existing concrete curb and precast pavers; the second part will involve the milling, resurfacing and marking of the pavement.”

Motorists should expect travel delays during both parts of the project. All trucks will be detoured during the project.

Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17, there will be alternating lane closures for automobile traffic while work is performed on the curb and pavers. This work will be performed by Precise Construction.

Between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. on the nights of Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23, the roundabout will be closed to all traffic while the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering crews complete the milling and paving work.

From Holmdel, eastbound motor vehicle traffic on Newman Springs Road (CR 520) will be directed to Everett Road (CR 52) to West Front Street to Middletown-Lincroft Road (CR 50).

From Red Bank, westbound motor vehicle traffic on Newman Springs Road (CR 520) will be directed to Middletown-Lincroft Road (CR 50) to West Front Street to Everett Road (CR 52).

All westbound traffic with the destination of Brookdale Community College is encouraged to use the Phalanx Road (CR 54) entrance. All Brookdale traffic will exit onto Phalanx Road during the overnight closures.
