Assists Whole Foods Market in Marlboro hire over 200 employees
MARLBORO, NJ – Monmouth County’s Workforce Investment Board (WIB) was recognized today at the grand opening of the Whole Foods Market for their assistance in hiring more than 200 employees.
“It is great to see a business take advantage of the services available through the WIB,” said Freeholder Serena DiMaso, liaison to the County’s Division of Workforce Development. “Our dedicated and professional staff works to connect job seekers with businesses in Monmouth County, which can be especially helpful for a business that does not have its own offices set up in the County during its hiring process.”
NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJ LWD) Business Services Representative Jay Staiger and the Monmouth County Business Team, which consists of representatives from NJ LDW, the Monmouth County WIB and Brookdale Community College, teamed with Whole Foods Market to develop a strategy and held numerous group open houses over a two week period.
From the open houses, Whole Foods Market narrowed down their selection and then held individual interviews in the County’s Workforce Development Office. Monmouth County’s office assisted with pre-screening and sending more than 800 job seekers to in-person interviews and place more than 200 people in positions with Whole Foods Market.
“We value our partnership with the WIB and the NJ LWD in Monmouth County and applaud the professionalism and good will each of the individuals in these agencies has shown to Whole Foods Market,” said Dorothy Dobkowski, Team Member Services/Recruiting, Whole Foods Market Northeast Regional Office. “Likewise, we look forward to a long, rewarding future partnership as our business continues to expand.”
