Belford Ferry is fast, easy way to avoid
Pulaski Skyway

Offers reliable service to Jersey City and Manhattan

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – With the Pulaski Skyway long-term reconstruction targeted to begin this weekend, ferry service from Monmouth County offers a fast, convenient and reliable way to avoid the anticipated traffic jams.

NY Waterway operates ferry service weekdays from the County’s terminal in the Belford section of Middletown. NY Waterway offers service to Jersey City and Manhattan’s Midtown and Wall Street sections.

“Parking is free at the County’s Belford/Middletown Ferry Terminal, making the total commuting cost less expensive than driving into Manhattan or Jersey City and paying to park,” said Freeholder Serena DiMaso. “The ferries can also take an hour off a morning commute, taking only 40 minutes to travel from Belford to Lower Manhattan’s Pier 11.”

Service from Belford is available to the World Financial Center in Lower Manhattan, West 39th Street in Midtown Manhattan and Paulus Hook in Jersey City.

The Belford Ferry makes seven daily departures between 5:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. The ferries make eight return trips to Belford between 3 and 9:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“The schedule also serves passengers who would just like to go spend a day in Manhattan,” said DiMaso. “The Belford Ferry Terminal offers a comfortable waiting room and café in a beautiful setting.”

Self-parking is free and valet parking is available. For fee information call 1-800-53-FERRY, go to www.nywaterway.com  or to www.visitmonmouth.com.

The other ferry option in Monmouth County is provided by Seastreak Ferry. Seastreak operates seven days a week out of Conner’s in Highlands and the Atlantic Highlands Marina to destinations at the World Financial Center in Lower Manhattan and East 35th Street in Midtown Manhattan.
