Monmouth County satellite office is open

Passports and more at your County Connection in Neptune

NEPTUNE, NJ –Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French opened the door this morning at the county’s first satellite office at 3544 State Highway 66.

“The Monmouth County Connection is open for business,” French said. “Super storm Sandy delayed the opening for a couple of weeks, but as of this morning we began processing passport applications, notarizing documents and issuing veterans’ IDs at our Neptune location."

Located at 3544 State Highway 66 in Neptune, adjacent to the Home Depot and across the street from Walmart, this new office of Monmouth County government is offering a variety of services including passports, passport photos, free notary public, County IDs, veterans’ IDs, election/voter information, senior and veterans’ services, public access computers and more.

The office is open this week on Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All county offices are closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

In the future, the County Connection Office will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The extended evening and weekend hours were put in place to help make services more accessible to working families.

Perhaps the most widely sought-after service of the new office will be the passport services. The County Clerk’s staff is considered to be experts on passport acceptance.

“My Freehold staff has a combined experience of over five decades, and in that time no travelers seeking passports have ever been inconvenienced,” boasts Mrs. French. “In Monmouth County, we are the experts.”

As an added convenience, passport photos are also available at the County Connection.
